How to be a Parisian

Last month we went to Paris for the weekend. We rented an apartment through airbnb and the apartment was located in the 9th arrondissement, the so called SoPi (South Pigalle). It was a really nice and upcoming neighbourhood. There were a lot of little bistro's, restaurants, bars and boutiques and it was very lively.

Because Paris is famous for its romance and lights, and let me tell you, we aren't that romantic :P, we were at first a little sceptical. But it turned out we really liked the city and I decided, even if I'm not that romantic, to dress for the occasion by wearing something different than an all-black-outfit.

And when is a better time to wear a colourful outfit than while visiting La Defense, which is a major business district located West of the city. It contains 72 glass and steel buildings of which 18 are skyscrapers. The best known building in this area is the Grande Arche, a modern version of the Arc de Triomphe. Even though I prefer old, medieval buildings, it was quite impressing and I would recommend going there when you're in Paris.

I chose an off-shoulder crop top in a bright red colour and combined it with a high waisted jeans, a pair of black flat sandals and of course my beloved bucket bag ;)
Although I normally wear a lot of black and black-and-white outfits, I really like the colour red. Also, I was looking for the right off-shoulder top for a while now and when I found this top in this colour at Zara, I knew I had to buy it. Besides this, I love the perforated fabric they used.

What do you think?
Have a lovely Sunday!
